AI is transforming marketing at an unprecedented pace, revolutionising everything from customer insights to content creation. Excited to be exploring this shift is Emma Marlow, focused on AI-driven organisational change and facilitator of the Marketing for AI course at the Institute of AI Studies.

With a background in brand strategy, digital innovation, and global marketing, Emma has worked with some of the world’s most forward-thinking brands. Passionate about bleeding-edge technologies and AI as a driver of societal change, she helps marketers bridge the gap between creativity and machine intelligence, helping businesses and their employees stay ahead in an era of automation and personalisation.

Emma knows the marketing landscape is shifting fast. Google’s dominance in search is being challenged by AI-driven discovery, as brands move beyond rankings to optimise for AI-powered assistants, multi-modal search, and algorithmic content recommendations. At the same time, AI is finally delivering on the overused promise of “doing more with less”—automating content production, hyper-personalising customer experiences, and optimising performance in real time, all while reducing costs.

Even more disruptive, Emma says, AI is breaking marketing’s iron triangle of time, cost, and quality. Where brands once had to compromise, AI enables them to achieve speed, affordability, and high-impact execution simultaneously. And unlike humans, AI never sleeps, never tires, and continuously improves—accelerating change at an exponential rate. The challenge for marketers now isn’t just leveraging AI, it’s keeping up with it.

Beyond AI and marketing, Emma is proud to be a part of Bristol’s creative and tech scene and has a long-standing love of drum and bass music. She’s also an active volunteer at her elder daughter’s rowing club and cadet unit, supporting the next generation of young leaders. As a parent, she’s fascinated by how technology is shaping the world her children will inherit—and is committed to helping businesses navigate this transformation with both innovation and responsibility.
